Hello and welcome! My name is Jackie Murphy, and I am a Special Education Teacher at Tamaqua Middle School. I teach Learning Support Reading to 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students who are in the LS Reading classrooms. 

 

I was born and raised in Tamaqua. I am a graduate of Tamaqua Area High School. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Saint Joseph's University. I recently returned to St. Joseph's University where I received a Reading Interventionist Certification and became a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner (W.D.P.). This is my 9th year teaching at Tamaqua Area.
