• As a student enrolled in biology at Tamaqua Area High School, your child will take the Pennsylvania State Biology Keystone Exam at the end of their biology course. In order to ensure all of our students exhibit academic growth, eight major topics are covered throughout the course using a variety of instructional and investigative practices.

The exam consists of two modules, each lasting approximately 1.5 hours and consisting of both multiple choice and constructed response questions. Our district currently utilizes the electronic form of the assessment, and provides students exposure to content and question types throughout the duration of the school year in an effort to maximize comfortability and preparation.
